[As appeared on The Star Tribune] Many individuals dream in their lifetime of the day they will be able to celebrate a milestone birthday, the precious moment they get to walk down the aisle, or the acceptance of a diploma. In life there are so many ups and downs and uncertainties, so what happens when something like a national pandemic hinders your special day?

"Over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity." Colossians 3:14

Everyone seems to be dealing with and running their own gamut of emotions right now. Times of crisis will do that. People, with all our myriad of personalities and tendencies, process circumstances differently. I would wager not one person thinks and feels exactly the same as another.

Earth Day is a beautiful time to celebrate the conservation of our environment all around the world. Now that we may have more time on our hands thanks to stay-at-home orders, let’s get out and appreciate the very thing the Lord has entrusted to us and given us dominion over.

Volunteerism is the heartbeat of Christian Care Ministry. It is a natural extension of our mission to share one another’s burdens. With the current state of social distancing and area-wide lockdowns, it’s difficult to think of how one can continue to volunteer his or her time in impactful ways.

Periodically, we like to highlight some of our outstanding employees at Christian Care Ministry (CCM), and learn a little bit more about their story. Meet David O'Riordan! He serves as the Senior Operations Manager for our Contact Center in our offices in Colorado Springs, CO.
