Out of sight, out of mind. You’ve likely heard this common saying before, but what about the opposite? In sight, in mind.

My alarm went off extra early, ringing through the house as I hopped out of bed. The smell of brewing coffee lingered in my nose as I walked through my morning routine. I arranged everything I needed the night before, in preparation for the important day ahead. It was the first day of training for my new job.

For young people entering adulthood, one of the ways that life hits hard is in the area of finances. In a financial literacy study conducted by the University of South Florida, less than half of college-graduate respondents could correctly answer three questions designed to determine financial aptitude.

I love to travel, and I have been fortunate enough to be able to do quite a bit of it. I love being able to immerse myself in new places and cultures, try new foods, hear new languages, and get a sense of the wider world.

Marriage is a strong commitment that requires love, trust, and loyalty. When two individuals become one in matrimony, they unite various aspects of their lives. One area couples may need help with is merging their finances after marriage due to differing opinions about money.

I have always loved to read. As I look back, I am hard-pressed to remember a time when I wasn’t reading. And, yes, I am that person who always has a book (or two) on me, just in case I’m stuck in a line, or at a very long red light.
