Meet Jim Sparling! A husband, dad, business owner, and grateful Medi-Share member. Jim was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma and walks through the struggles he's faced and how he has been impacted by the wonderful Medi-Share community through it all. Christian Care Ministry (CCM) has some outstanding employees, and this week we were able to speak with Tonya Moore, one of our Contact Center leaders. As we prepare for our third annual Day of Sharing on October 3, we asked her a few questions about her volunteer experiences while at CCM.

It might look a little different than in years past but Christian Care Ministry employees in Colorado Springs, Colorado; Melbourne, Florida; and in some of our remote locations will once again volunteer in their communities on Saturday, October 3rd for the third annual Day of Sharing. In addition to wearing t-shirts to commemorate the annual event, employees will also be sporting branded CCM face masks and hand sanitizer while out serving.

More than just once a year on the annual Day of Sharing, Christian Care Ministry and its employees have a heart for serving in the surrounding communities all year round. But when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, employees and others all across our country were left wondering how to help during these times of social distancing.

Imagine facing a diagnosis you never saw coming. What do you do? Where do you turn? What are your best options? Who will advocate for you?

When the coronavirus showed up on our doorsteps, preventing us from crossing the threshold to the outside world without an abundance of caution, life as we knew it certainly changed. Our new everyday vocabulary started including words like quarantine, face masks, shortages, and social distancing―words that brought frustration and discouragement.
