Hello from your Government Gal, Lindsey! September is here and it is one of my favorite months! I am excited to share with you perhaps a little known celebration that receives a whole week of reflection, discussion, and jubilee: Constitution Week.

On September 11, 2021, Christian Care Ministry/Medi-Share, launched a new prayer initiative to support our elected officials and their legislative staff. CCM followed its Biblical call to pray and encourage members to join Project K.E.E.P.

What does the Fourth of July mean to you? How does it make you feel when you see those familiar roadside tents filled with all types of fireworks and other flammable celebratory items? As you move about town you will see retail stores, community light poles or your neighbor’s front porch filled with color bursts of red, white and blue décor. For this government gal, it fills my heart with nostalgia of community gatherings filled with various patriotic foods, fellowship and liberty.

National Siblings Day was this week! I thoroughly enjoy all types of celebrations and this one in particular holds a special place in my heart. I did a quick internet search on the history of this holiday and here is what I found:
