I’m going to say some things that probably won’t be popular with some people. May even ruffle some feathers.

In the latest International Data Corporation (IDC) report, wearable shipments are up 10.3%, mostly due to increased smartwatch purchases (up 60%, while basic wearables dropped 1%). With companies like Apple® continuing to expand the capabilities of smartwatches, it’s easy to understand their popularity. Soon we may not need a phone anymore, replacing it with only a smartwatch.

There's no denying the statistics about breast cancer are daunting: About 252,710 new cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed in women. About 63,410 new cases of carcinoma in situ (CIS) will be diagnosed (CIS is noninvasive and is the earliest form of breast cancer). About 40,610 women will die from breast cancer. Breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in women (only lung cancer kills more women each year). * American Cancer Society estimates for 2017.

According to the American Cancer Society, “In 2017, there will be an estimated 1,688,780 new cancer cases diagnosed and 600,920 cancer deaths in the U.S.”

With someone in the U.S. developing Alzheimer’s disease every 66 seconds, it is likely you know something about it. It’s also likely there is more you can learn about identifying the symptoms early and possible prevention.

You might be wondering, “Instant what?”

According to the American Childhood Cancer Organization (ACCO), each year 15,780 children are diagnosed with cancer in the United States. While survival rates have increased to approximately 80%, there is obviously still room for improvement. For those that do survive, many will struggle with one or more chronic health conditions throughout their life.
