Dear Medi-Share,

COME ON IN I recently moved back to my native state of Mississippi. We are the Hospitality State. (Google it if you need proof. I did and found, 11 Things That Prove Mississippi Truly Is The Hospitality State.)

Faith and fear are enormously powerful. Darkness versus The Light. Good versus evil. Both can change the trajectory of your life. Both can bend your today and break your tomorrow. Fear and faith won’t operate in the same space. You must let one go for the other one to be activated.

As I lay back on the ultrasound table, I felt a peaceful sense of familiarity. Of course, I was excited, but I’d been through this before with my two sons, now five and three. So I knew what to expect at this 12-week visit: my husband and I would get our first look at the little one growing in my belly. Our newest blessing.

March is national orphan care month. Often in our culture, the global orphan crisis and the domestic foster care crisis are viewed separately. While there are important differences, they share this same bottom line: children should not pay the highest price for the sins of a broken world. Without a champion, they will; they do, and that’s not OK.

I love those times I open my Bible and everything I read seems so clear and breathes life into my day. It is a satisfyingly peaceful feeling, kind of like being with an old friend who, despite having known you on your worst of days, finds no uncomfortable barrier but only pleasure in your friendship.

Did you know that Medi-Share is celebrating three decades of care in 2023? This is certainly a HUGE milestone to be celebrated, but it would not have been possible without so many people working behind the scenes along the way.
