It's just one of those things you don't think about until it happens to you. Yet it may be happening to you now, and you don't even realize it.

Thanksgiving is a major American holiday focused on family, friends, and, of course, delicious food. In the commotion of football, family games, and all of the yummy food in between, it is easy to lose focus on the real meaning of the holiday.

A young woman carrying an unimaginable responsibility. A young man torn between love and honor. A jealous king who will stop at nothing to keep his crown.

Hurry is not God’s best for leaders. Many are leading under the influence of their stressed-out and overwhelmed lives. We struggle and strive to see God’s call on our lives fulfilled and to reach more people with His message of hope. All the while, we are daily withering under the pressure of family demands, careers, and ministry obligations. There will always be pressure in leadership, but it should never be the place you lead from.

The start of a new school year will be here before we know it. Registration papers are all turned in. Your child may have already picked out a backpack with matching lunch box to boot. The school supply lists are posted and every retail store is stocked for back-to-school shopping. However, are new supplies all a kid needs to be ready for “Back to School”?

In John 13:13, Jesus said, “You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am.” Jesus Christ was an incredible teacher. His methods of teaching are powerful and applicable in many different areas of leadership. After all, it wasn’t simply what Jesus taught and did, but how he taught a radical message of love and forgiveness that changed the world.

Marriage is a strong commitment that requires love, trust, and loyalty. When two individuals become one in matrimony, they unite various aspects of their lives. One area couples may need help with is merging their finances after marriage due to differing opinions about money.

Did you know, in America alone, over 430,000 children are in the foster care system? The majority of the children in out-of-home care come from neglectful homes and many hope to be reunited with their parents. Foster care is truly about helping families get back on their feet and reuniting children with their parents.
