On September 11, 2021, Christian Care Ministry/Medi-Share, launched a new prayer initiative to support our elected officials and their legislative staff. CCM followed its Biblical call to pray and encourage members to join Project K.E.E.P.
It is our privilege to pray for and encourage those who have chosen to serve at the various levels of government. Each day our Medi-Share members and employees are praying for specific elected officials by name. Praying for those in office is one way we can share words of encouragement that will lead to a positive impact in our communities and lighten the burden of our leaders.
Impact
A monthly email is sent out to our members that includes an attached calendar with the names of elected officials in a geographical region. Every month there is a different prayer focus for our leaders. On page 2 we provide a prayer prompt as a guide on what to pray should members wish to use it, then a brief reflection guide like a devotional that coincides with the focus for our members to meditate on for that month.

Looking Forward
CCM has partnered with the National Association of Christian Lawmakers. Our Government Affairs Director, Lindsey Swindle, attended their recent national conference in June. While at the conference, Lindsey interviewed 15 elected officials via video on their thoughts on how prayer impacts and supports them as elected officials.
Beginning this fall, a video message from an elected official will go out each month with the prayer calendar. Our members and those who we have met throughout the community will receive a video message from an elected official they are praying for.
