Volunteerism is the heartbeat of Christian Care Ministry. It is a natural extension of our mission to share one another’s burdens. With the current state of social distancing and area-wide lockdowns, it’s difficult to think of how one can continue to volunteer his or her time in impactful ways.

Almost everyone has experienced some sort of disruption to their routine in the past few weeks. Whether you’ve been sent home to work remotely or your kids’ school has started “e-learning,” things at home have changed. With more and more states issuing stay-at-home orders and closing nonessential businesses, how are we to fill our days?

Do your closet doors refuse to stay latched no matter how hard you lean on them? Is the floor in your kids’ rooms completely hidden? Are bookshelves overflowing and at risk of toppling over?

It’s one of the greatest, most joyful experiences in a family’s life – having a baby. From hearing those words of confirmation, to the anticipation, the planning, and finally, the birth of your child, it can be an exciting but overwhelming journey.
