Revised, Nov 2025. At a time when so many forces are dividing us, Thanksgiving is the annual summons back to being one nation under God. Let this holiday serve as a unifying celebration of our many blessings.

As the leaves turn and calendars fill, it’s easy to get swept up in the swirl of fall festivals, Thanksgiving prep, Christmas concerts, and year-end deadlines. The holiday season, rich with tradition and togetherness, can quickly become a blur of busyness. During it all, we often face a quiet tension: how do we steward our time not just for productivity, but for presence? How do we make time for what matters most?

Juggling six kids and multiple businesses sometimes makes Christina and Brad feel like they’re living in a circus. So, perhaps it’s only natural that Christina would become a trapeze artist in her spare time. Little did she know, her hobby would uncover a need for life-saving brain surgery.

I wonder what my children will say about me when they’re grown. The world is full of parents who’ve tried their best and now the men and women they once called “child” won’t answer the phone when they call. Far better men than me have held the title “father” and have trained up children in the way they should go, only to watch that famous Proverb be proved more a general rule rather than a concrete, spiritual law. Proverbs 22:6 says, “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”
