What Pastors Are Facing Today

If you don't already know Fawn Tornicelli (second one from the left in the picture), she is Provider Community Services manager and a longtime employee of Christian Care Ministry. Here is just a little insight into her life so you can get to know her even better. We are so blessed to have such a faithful sister in Christ and so thankful for her servant's heart here at CCM!

It’s no secret that as believers we will face many trials and tribulations, and in this life, we will have burdens. Sometimes our burdens can weigh us down and make us feel isolated and defeated, but the good news is we don’t have to carry burdens alone. (Yes, introverts, God actually created us for community.)

Cards and flowers and breakfast in bed. Homemade gifts with little handprints. Notes of appreciation and extra hugs. A day of pampering. Can we ever actually thank our mothers enough?

Words play a key role in almost everything. We have to talk, write, type, text, or use words in some form of communication every day; many of us even hear words in our dreams.

As May recognizes Mental Health Awareness, we chose to share a member's story that we know will touch so many lives. Though it highlights great adversity and pain, her story is filled with grace. Medi-Share Member Janet E. suffered extreme loss but by the Grace of God she is mended and whole again. She shares her journey of mental struggles and her testimony of how she overcame it all with our powerful God by her side, to fill her with hope once again.

As Christians, we ought to constantly seek greater spiritual growth and maturity in our lives. We want to be able to look back in a year, 5 years, and 10 years from now and count the ways we have grown in our walk with God. We don’t want to remain “infants in Christ” as Paul chides in 1 Corinthians 3.

It’s one thing to have good intentions, but Medi-Share’s IT department also has heart! The team used its skillset and paid time off to volunteer to help those in need by performing a 24-hour Hackathon to assist the CarePortal.
