Each year, Christian Care Ministry’s Board of Directors recognizes outstanding employees for service excellence, among other things, by awarding their Chairman’s Awards. One of the Ministry’s recipients this year, Roberta (Bobbie) Forney, is our Employee Spotlight for March.

Mary Tutterow, a Medi-Share member for four years, has been a caregiver for more than 25 years. And now she’s sharing parts of her journey, her insightful wisdom, and God’s truths for fellow caregivers in her book, The Heart of the Caregiver.

Both Jose and Estrella came to the US from Cuba as children, on a freedom flight and a banana boat, respectively, with nothing but the clothes on their backs.

Christian Care Ministry is the organization that administers the Medi-Share program for more than 400,000 members. More than 700 employees are serving our members, and share the same commitment to Biblical values that our members do. Our staff brings the gifts and talents God gave each of them and they use them here at this ministry to serve our members and their co-workers, and lift each other up through prayer and community.

Chances are, you’ve seen the challenges out there during this season to publicly proclaim something you are thankful for each day in the month of November. We generally do think of this as the month of thankfulness and, truly, there is much to be thankful for in every season.

It’s incredibly easy to become lost in the abundance of ornate decorations, bright lights and brilliant sparkles, and the lure of holiday sales. The holidays are about more than the glitz of the season and its material offerings.

How would you define stewardship? What does it mean to be a good steward – of our finances, our health, our resources, our time? The list could on.
