Having two young daughters myself, I want to encourage dads as Father’s Day approaches by using a parallel to the sports world…

May is National Foster Care Month! According to childwelfare.gov there are more than 407,000 children and youth in the foster care system, and only 34% are placed with relatives and kin. So where do the rest of those kids end up? In some instances, children are placed with families like Medi-Share employees Matt Cunningham. Read Matt’s story below of how he became involved with foster care and adoption.

National Siblings Day was this week! I thoroughly enjoy all types of celebrations and this one in particular holds a special place in my heart. I did a quick internet search on the history of this holiday and here is what I found:

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres.” -1 Corinthians 13:4-7

We’re all looking for ways to add more servings of fruits and vegetables to our diet… aren’t we? But if you’re anything like me, you may get tired of the raw, steamed, and roasted variations of your go-to veggies.
