God has blessed me and my wife with a wonderful, energetic and God-loving 6-year-old daughter. Father’s Day is the perfect time to reflect on the vital role we play in our families.

[As seen in The Christian Post] Becoming a father for the first time is a wild journey. You never know what the next day will bring, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world. My daughter, Thea, just celebrated her first birthday in May and it might sound cliché whenever people say, “time flies”, but let me tell you, it’s true.

Most of us grew up reciting the Pledge of Allegiance in school or at functions where our nation’s flag is displayed. But do we appreciate the origins of those words? On this Flag Day (June 14th), let’s pause to consider the history of the pledge, as well as the two little words that make all the difference.

[As appeared on Crosswalk.com] I didn’t know him, but he knew me – or he thought he did. The two of us stood a few yards apart at the church basketball court, waiting on our kids to finish up a quick post-service game. He came over and introduced himself, a Bible app clearly pulled up on his phone. A few minutes later, I was blinking back tears and struggling to breathe.

Summer is upon us! That means pool time, vacations, adventure, and no-school seasons are here, too. However, mishaps can easily accompany all the adventures sure to happen.

The motivation, intensity, and consistency of my workouts have all increased thanks to one thing: the people beside me. The social aspect of working out has changed everything.

Throughout our journey in life, we're called to care for both our spiritual and physical health. The Bible says our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit and we need to honor God with our bodies. (1 Cor. 6:19-20). As we aim to be good stewards of what God has blessed us with, exercise can be a very important piece of the puzzle. In fact, getting exercise into our routines can bring benefits such as increased strength, improved mobility, and enhanced cardiovascular health.

When I was in my twenties, I thought I knew everything. The older I have become, the less I realize I know. I am completely and utterly dependent on God for everything.
