According to the store shelves full of plastic grass and chocolate bunnies, Easter season is well underway. But for the Christian, Easter is more than dying eggs and filling baskets. It’s an annual reminder of the eternal hope we have because of Jesus’ resurrection.

It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year! And often the hardest time of year to stick with healthy lifestyle habits too. Many people with weight loss goals ask themselves this key question: Should I pause my weight loss efforts during the holiday season and just pick it back up in January?

"Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Is it just me or does it all feel a little broken? It’s been a wild 2+ years on the local, national, and global level. I can’t decide whether it’s my fading youthful optimism or that I’m finally paying attention. Whatever the reason, it doesn’t always feel like the victorious Easter Sunday we’ll soon be celebrating.

How many pages is your “to do” list? I love the Christmas season and all the joy it brings, but wow, the calendar sure is packed, and the list sure is long! Something’s got to give!

The end of the year can be such an exciting and joyous time between giving thanks and celebrating our faith. Yet, if we're not careful, the holiday season and the new year may also become a period of significant stress.
