My husband and I have seven children by birth and adoption. Seven. We think it was the perfect number to call our family complete.

Every Tuesday afternoon a group of employee moms and grandmothers meet in one of the conference rooms or, more recently, by Skype, to pray over our children and grandchildren.

Sometimes a single verse of the Bible jumps out of the page with perfect clarity. Even stripped of its context, its meaning is clear. These are the verses we often carry in our hearts. “For God so loved the world…”

Unhealthy conversations can be conversations that escalate into heated and sometimes regretful words. They can also be conversations that need to happen, but never do.
