The Back to School season is here, and for many families, that means hungry kids coming in the door “starving” and ready for an afternoon snack!

 

Active, growing children do need a snack between lunch and dinner, but the key to not spoiling their dinner is keeping the snacks healthy and appropriately portioned. Snack time is a great opportunity to provide some extra nutrition and good quality energy, as well as to begin a tradition of lifelong healthy snacking habits!
