In July 2025, Medi-Share launched its new Biblical Wellness Portal for all Medi-Share Complete Members. This is an important tool meant to provide our members with a way to live out health in everyday life. 

 

This brand-new resource with regularly updated content is designed for consistent use and engagement to support members throughout their health journey. For some, however, this can be a challenge due to the busyness of life and limited free time. We will discuss some of the key resources that will help you make the most of your time on the portal and see it translate into quick wins that can bring lasting change!

 

A key feature of the portal is the wellness challenges, and there are many to choose from! Wellness challenges tap into the brain’s reward pathways by offering frequent wins, social encouragement, and visible progress, which reinforce confidence and make healthy actions more enjoyable. Behavior‑change science further demonstrates that challenges add novelty and structure, helping individuals anticipate obstacles and practice new habits in a supportive environment. Over time, this repeated cycle of action, feedback, and celebration strengthens intrinsic motivation, increases resilience, and makes new behaviors more likely to stick. We are excited to introduce our newest challenge: Weight Loss Challenge! With over 70% of Americans struggling with their weight and weight-related health conditions, this unique challenge takes a whole health approach, going beyond just diet and exercise. It focuses on the root of why we engage in behaviors and identify how to build new habits to replace the old. By combining a devotional approach that centers on honoring God with our bodies and a reward-based challenge to keep you motivated, you can achieve lasting transformation. Each 2-week series includes:

 

      • A devotion
      • A key learning element
      • A habit layering technique
      • A tracker (s) for goal setting & accountability

 

As believers, we’re called to steward our bodies as gifts from God, using our strength and energy to serve Him and others. This challenge blends biblical encouragement, practical steps, and supportive accountability, so you can build consistency with grace (not guilt!).

Even if you do not need to lose weight, the information you receive from the Weight Loss Challenge can still create a new perspective on healthy living. Register today by logging into the portal. (If 8 weeks is too long right now, join a 30-day challenge. If weight loss is not your primary focus, you can register for any challenge and maximize your goals like step tracking, sleep, strength training, and hydration.)
