The Medi-Share Member Steering Committee is a great opportunity to serve fellow members and add practical insight and guidance to the Medi-Share program. The Steering Committee is made up of Medi-Share members who meet via Zoom as needed and possibly in-person once annually to discuss program Guidelines and other issues that impact the membership as a whole.
Working independently and on behalf of the collective membership, the Committee's recommendations are presented to the Christian Care Ministry Board of Directors and staff for consideration and application. In order to serve, they must be a member in good standing for at least the last two years, able to participate in teleconferences with access to a computer to review presentations, and available to serve for a 3-year term.
At the Committee meetings, topics from Guidelines changes to the CCM Annual Report are discussed. They also make up the 7-member appeal panel, ensuring every voice is heard when it comes to the Guidelines-stated sharing appeals opportunity.
Our 16-member Committee recently met, in person and virtually, at our Melbourne, FL headquarters for a new member orientation, as well as a deep-dive on all aspects of the Medi-Share program operations and guidelines, including a mock member appeal. We also celebrated these members at our weekly employee chapel and invited them into discussion with our Board of Directors as part of its quarterly meeting.
For more information on how to get involved in the future or to make recommendations for Guidelines changes, members can do so through e-mail to guidelines@medishare.com.
