Have you ever had that moment where a stranger shared a smile or a friend went the extra mile to make you feel beyond loved and special? Something totally out of the blue or unexpected that you would call a little "Extra Blessing" in your life. Well, here are a few ways the members of Medi-Share were blessed by other members out of their generosity and going the extra mile to help a brother or sister in Christ.
I just wanted to say thank you so much to all the members I consider my brothers and sisters in Christ for giving to "Extra Blessings!" I have been in good health all my life and very unexpectedly had a heart attack last year that changed my life. Between the initial attack and the second surgery that I required to put additional stents in my heart, it wiped out my entire 401K. I am 62 years old and had planned to retire at 66. With the extra blessing that I received, I was able to put some of that money back in the bank. It has also been a challenge to find work at my age so it is a double blessing!! Our 9-year-old son, Cody, had a rare tumor on his adrenal gland prior to our family joining in 2018. Through the Extra Blessings program, the Medi-Share members shared over $45,000 of our medical expenses. What a blessing! Thank you so much! -Jeffery S.
Over a year ago I had heart surgery that was not going to be covered due to [it being a] pre-existing condition. This led to an initial bill from the hospital of nearly $140,000. The bill was reduced to just under $25,000 eventually--still, quite a steep bill to have hanging over my head. I was encouraged to appeal to the Extra Blessings program through Medi-Share and have received the incredible blessing of having my bill completely paid by the generosity of those in the program! A wonderful bit of news during the Thanksgiving season! Every good and perfect gift comes down from the Father of lights. Thank you for being part of His blessing to my family! -Jim S.
