Is maternity eligible for sharing?

Married Members with an Annual Household Portion of $3,000 or higher who have faithfully shared from the month of conception through the month of delivery are eligible for maternity sharing. Sharing is limited to $125,000 for any single pregnancy event. This includes antepartum care, the cost of delivery and complications to the mother and/or child(ren), and postpartum care. To be eligible, delivery must be performed by one of the following:

  • Medical Doctor
  • Doctor of Osteopathy
  • Midwife who is properly licensed, certified, and/or registered in the state of delivery as required by state law

Is adoption eligible for sharing?

Yes, adoption cost are eligible for sharing (up to two adoption events can be shared per Member Household). The adoption of multiple children at the same time is considered one event. Review Medi-share Complete Guideline Section VIII for additional details.

Is routine care eligible for sharing?

Routine care is not eligible for sharing; however, if your provider is with PHCS you should present your ID card and have them bill Medi-Share to receive discounts on your routine services. There are exceptions for well-baby care (See Section VII. F.) and one annual physical with limited labs for each member at one of the new program levels, which will be eligible for sharing once the AHP is met or can be applied toward the AHP.

Please note: Well-child care is not shared for members who select the DPC program option, as members who utilize a DPC provider will have access to well-child care through their DPC arrangement.

Are prescriptions eligible for sharing?

The cost of CMS or FDA approved testing, treatments, and up to six months of FDA approved prescription drugs per eligible condition will be considered for sharing. Section VI. A. As a Medi-Share Complete member, you can save on most prescriptions by presenting your Medi-Share ID, with the Navitus Pharmacy Solutions information on the front of the card, at participating pharmacies.

How do I get discounts at the pharmacy?

Present your green Member ID card at the pharmacy and let them know your pharmacy information has been updated. Your ID card includes all of the information the pharmacist needs to determine what discounts are available.

Will my new card get me more savings on my prescriptions?

We have strengthened our pharmacy program, Navitus, by teaming up with GoodRx as of September 1, 2023. This collaboration brings you even better discounts on medications, building upon the savings you already enjoy.

Do I need to mention GoodRx?

No, the pharmacy information on your card is used by the pharmacist to determine your savings. The Navitus/GoodRx relationship is reflected in this information. With the partnership of Navitus and GoodRx you will receive the greatest discount available to you.

What if I don’t give the pharmacist my new savings card?

Your previous Member ID card contains outdated pharmacy information so you will no longer be able to use it at the pharmacy. That’s why it’s important to make sure you present your new card at the pharmacy and let your pharmacist know your pharmacy information has changed.

Is there a mail-in prescription option?

Members should utilize the Navitus portal to find participating pharmacies, compare prescription prices, or receive mail order information.

How do I find a participating pharmacy?

You may log in or register on the Navitus Health Solutions Online portal here. As a first-time user, you will need to register using your Household ID that is printed on your Member ID card and contact information.

Is testing and treatment for Coronavirus (COVID-19) eligible for sharing?

Yes. Testing and treatment for Coronavirus (COVID-19) are eligible for sharing, like costs for any testing or treatment of a confirmed illness, based on the Medi-Share Guidelines. Members should utilize free telehealth as their first route of care and, if further treatment is recommended, utilize your preferred provider network when appropriate.
